BENEFITS OF RENEW’S CANCER SPECIALTY PROGRAM
- Provides continuation of the services started in the Hospital or Doctor’s office in the Comfort of Home.
- Allows for less time spent in the Hospital or Skilled Nursing Facility
- Provides Help for Family and other Caregivers
- Provides help for those who lack supportive caregivers
- In most cases, services are covered fully by Medicare and other insurances
- Individual Evaluation by specialized RN to develop Care Plan with you and your doctor
- Medication Management including oral, IV and chemotherapy agents
- Wound and Ostomy Care
- Pain and Symptom Management
- Urinary Catheter Care
- Nutritional Counseling
- Family and Caregiver Training
- Blood Draws for Lab Testing
THERAPY/REHAB SERVICES
- Physical Therapy for ROM/Strengthening after Surgery (i.e. Mastectomy or other )
- Neurologic Rehab and specialized Balance Training after surgery or injury involving the Brain
- Gait Training, Muscle Strengthening and Therapeutic Exercise before, during and after Cancer Treatment
- Occupational Therapy to teach skills in Bathing, Dressing, other Activities of Daily Living and Fine Motor Skills
- Training in Assistive Devices for Mobility and Bathroom Safety
- Speech Therapy for Communication and Swallowing issues
OTHER SERVICES
- Home Health Aides for help with Bathing, Dressing and Light Housekeeping
- Specialized Social Workers for Social and Emotional Factors, and assistance finding Sources of Help in the Community
- Continuity of Care: You may keep your same Nurse and other caregivers if desired if Hospice care is indicated through Renew Hospice
